Personality
Short: Stupid, can sound smart, conspiracy theorist, hates touching, upset easily though tries to hide it, hard to anger, can be charming
To put it simply, he's not brilliant even if he can BS his way to sounding it. He enjoys coming up with all sorts of theories that probably have no truth in them at all, but he can make them sound damn convincing. Closeness has never been a friend of his, so he likes to keep a gap between him and other horses.. or really anything that might be alive. Sometimes he goes on to ramble about things that don't make sense at all and it wouldn't be far from the truth to say he went off the deep end. However, the boy does make sense most of the time, his rambles are usually set off because of something someone has said. He can be upset easily, but often will try to hide it so he doesn't look like a total marshmallow. It's usually hard to anger him, but it's very easy to hurt his feelings to the point where he'll submit. On the rare occasion he can be charming; if you consider awkward swooning a desirable trait.
History
It's easily said that his strange disposition was caused because of how he grew up. The boy was born to his single, nomadic mother who invested all of her time in trying to find truth to the world. She only had a foal because of one bad run in with a stallion, though she was more than happy to bring a new life to the world. She took great pride in her baby boy when he was born, putting great effort into making sure he was clean and well fed. Often she would over mother him and refuse to let him anywhere where she couldn't reach him. They lived relatively simply, without running into much trouble and avoiding major sicknesses. However, due to the rules of life and pointless chaos, their time together was ended very shortly after his first birthday. To spare the gritty details, the two of them were caught by a forest fire and while trying to find a way out, his mother hurt her leg and the two became separated. The colt discovered his mother's corpse soon after it was safe enough to search for her, though only after touching her and realizing just what happens when nuzzling a corpse that was left to sit in the hot sun. Needless to say he was as traumatized as a yearling could be and spent months trying to deal with the shock of it. He finally settled on avoiding other horses' flesh and ranting about anything he can think of if he is reminded of his mother in the slightest.
