Personality
Friendliness isn't something that comes easy to him, rather he finds himself being rude without meaning to. It's much easier for him to lash out and act coldly to others, even if he actually is very fond of him/her. It's often ruined relationships in his life and taught him that he is best suited to living alone. Solitude and quiet are his favorite things.. until he spots his next golden girl, of course. She can come in any size, color or shape, but every time he sees some ravishing mare, he quickly becomes infatuated with her. She could flat out reject him, yet still he'll stubbornly believe that she's just playing games with him. There are some small problems that could arise during his courting of a difficult mare, one of which being his quick temper. Little things will set him off and cause him to snap at or even act violently towards even the most innocent bystander. It's something he's not particularly proud of - at least until he really thinks about it. In truth, he's an egoistical bastard who wants to pity himself. Perhaps drama-queen is a better word for it.
History
The past truly molded Focalor's mind for the worst. With a total lack of paternal affection and a minimal effort on his mother's part, it's not that hard to see why. His mother was a lone mare who got by offering herself to any big stallion she came across, hoping that one would stick. At some point, she came across Focalor's father and the two hit it off well enough. She wanted protection and he wanted some tail, it worked out good. It didn't take very long before she became pregnant with Focalor and she found herself surprisingly happy. It was all sunshine and rainbows even after he was born, up until he understood that he could speak his own opinion of things. It didn't take very long for his father to become sick of the nagging little colt who seemed to question everything he did. The best way to shut the colt up was to dash all of his ideas, thoughts and dreams and then to ignore him. His mother also began to grow tired of the endlessly curious colt and soon began to only humor him every so often when she was in the right mood. Starving for attention, Focalor began to do bolder things and would challenge any stray stallion they came across in an attempt to impress his father. He wasn't very strong for his young age, so he typically lost and the few wins he did manage to scrape left no impression whatsoever on his father. Instead, when he began to complain to his father about being ignored all the time, his words were silenced with a few good beatings. He was taught that silence was his best voice and attention was something he had to truly earn to receive, it wasn't something to be easily spared. He only made a few more attempts to gain his parents' attention, but in the end they began to hardly even notice when he was around. They were so used to the quiet, young stallion by now that they didn't think anything of it when he began to travel alone for days on end. Eventually, by the time he found his way back to where he had left his parents, they had already moved on without him. It was at that point he decided to travel alone.
